We are pleased to announce John Pye Auctions will be resuming remotely online, with some notable new procedures to ensure the safety of our staff, customers and communities.

AUCTION BIDDING TIMES AND DATES

Online bidding is now live, with auctions concluding from 12pm on Monday May 18th. Our Auctions will continue weekly across our UK locations, ending the usual day and times.

AUCTION VIEWINGS SUSPENDED

Whilst John Pye weekly online auctions are now resuming there will be no public saleroom viewings until further notice, as we strive to ensure our duty of care towards our staff, customers and local communities during this time of continued risk to public health.

To provide an alternative remote viewing, we shall be capturing additional images on all lots as well as in due course offering 360 degree interactive saleroom images to bring a full visual overview of every auction saleroom.

LIVE CHAT

To help speed up remote enquiries we shall be directing all usual phone enquires to a new John Pye Auctions live chat service through our website, where you will be able to direct typed enquiries straight through to our saleroom staff in the same way you would raise these queries at our sites during these viewings.

PAYMENTS

All auction lot payments must be made securely online by card or bank transfer. We will not be accepting any cash or card payments on-site. Both the Cash Offices and Coffee lounges will remain closed at this time.

DELIVERIES ONLY

Whilst social distancing rules continue for public safety, we request winning bidders refrain from attending site to collect lots. To support this request, all John Pye Auctions lots under a two person lift size will now all be delivered by our delivery partner DPD to winning bidders. There will be no courier requests at this time.

All lots of a two person lift size will be available by pallet delivery through approved pallet delivery companies.

MORE VOLUME & VARIETY

Whilst the John Pye Auctions have been in lockdown over the last 6 weeks, we have continued to support our valued clients with inbound deliveries during this time. As a result, the resumption of our auctions will see a future surge in stock offerings similar to post-Christmas levels. This will be an opportune time to secure some great bargains through the auctions.

CONTINUED COMMUNITY CHARITY SUPPORT

The first John Pye charity auction in aid of the Robin Hood Fund to support community coronavirus causes was a huge success with over £16,000 raised.

We are now finalising two further charity auctions to provide similar support for the communities around our John Pye sites in Marchington, Chesterfield, South Wales and Bo’Ness, as well as benefiting FareShare, the UK’s national food bank charity. A national cricket themed charity auction will also be held in conjunction with the English Cricket Board and English county cricket clubs.

If you are able to bid on these important charity auctions it will help make a big difference to those who most need help at this time.

Thank you for your continued patience and support during this period, we look forward to your continued custom and seeing you in due course at our sites, once it is safe to do so.

Sincerely,

Adam Pye
Managing Director
