Auction Porter (Collections Team)

Job Description:


Provide efficient and safe collection services to our clients.  In addition provide a front line support for the handling/management of auction assets through lot allocation (auction set-up) to final dispatch and or collection. Deliver an efficient and safe collection facility for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe loading/unloading of assets for the purpose of collections on behalf of the business

Central Administrator

Job Description:


To be committed to providing the business with a consistent offering of all Trade and Private vehicles offered through the JP Vehicles sales programme. The JP Vehicles department require a team player to take responsibility with the administration of sale processes and supporting VDE’s with ensuring their processes are fully supported. A key function is to support the Head of Vehicles and the wider business with key metrics and reporting. A keen eye for detail is paramount throughout the process.
The role dictates that the administrator should show a good level of understanding of key metrics and data to allow the business to better understand its operational and commercial position.

Sales Operations
• Onboard and administrate defined contracts including V5/V62 administration
• On board vehicles in a consistent manner, confirming accuracy of description
• Ensure VDE’s hit key deadlines regarding sale creation and submission
• Build sales for release onto the Bidlogix sales platform including image processing
• Issue pre-sale and post-sale reports
• Support VDE’s with on-boarding during busy periods and to cover periods of annual leave
• Sending out vendor statements by soft copy and hard copies posted to vendors without e-mail addresses
• On-boarding new vendors into the relevant platforms
• Liaise with cash offices to chase late payments, confirm deposit returns and administrate cancelled sales
• Reception point for website vendor enquiry submissions
• Keeping systems up to date with hammer prices and number of sales
• Create and send invoices to customer and mark up payments on the system
• Close sales at payment deadline

Other Duties
As part of an on-going development plan the CA may be required to carry out some of the administration tasks and expand their duties during periods of absence of the VDE’s

Additional responsibilities

The CA will need to assist the other on-site teams with their sale preparation and site operation during periods of absence or busy periods.
The role may require periods of cover at other locations during busy periods or provision of cover during annual leave
Collate information to allow VDE’s or the Head of Vehicles settle post sale complaints.

Skills required

Astute with data collection, the ability to manipulate Excel spreadsheets and supply information in a professional and consistent manner is important
Full driving licence would be a distinct advantage

Field Sales Executive (Trade and Private Vehicles) – 2 Positions available in The Midlands and South Wales

Job Description:


We are recruiting for two experienced Motor Vehicle Field Sales Executives to take responsibility for developing the continued growth of our considerable Trade and Private Vehicles division.  The successful applicants will use self-generated leads to source vendors for consigning stock into the regular sales programme with 2 core centres in The Midlands and Humberside and Central & South Wales and the South West of England.

These field based, performance driven positions will rely on self-motivation and leveraging local resources.  There will be a strong customer facing focus which must reflect the business’s core culture of professional conduct.  A key function is to support the Head of Vehicles, procuring suitable stock from reputable sources whilst maintaining a close relationship with Vehicle Disposal Executives who will maintain continued contact with consigned vendors.

A competitive remuneration package will reflect the success in vehicle sales volumes and new vendors attained in the period. The role will come with a company supplied vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and report all prospecting data (customer contact reports and CRM) updating details as necessary
  • Categorise leads by geographical area, vendor type and prospect level
  • Feedback any relevant conversations and lead progression
  • On-board successful prospects into the relevant databases
  • Maintain the relationship with new vendors and effect a handover to the VDE’s at the appropriate point
  • Source opportunities for other business departments
  • Support the telemarketing campaigns when required

 

Minimum skills required 

  • A robust understanding of regional used car activity (it’s probable approx. 4/5 years relevant experience will be necessary) particularly across the Midlands and South Wales would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong commercial awareness when proposing agreements with vendors (charges and volume propositions)
  • Self-motivation is essential
  • Accuracy with data collection, the ability to manipulate Excel spreadsheets and supply information in a professional and consistent manner is important
  • Full driving licence with any endorsements disclosed to the business

To be responsible for the front-line sales for the Luxury Assets department of John Pye Auctions, supporting the National Business Development Manager and Head of Luxury Assets in the acquisition of new customers for the department, and the cross-selling of other products and services offered by all John Pye Auctions (JPA) departments.

Tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Identifying new sales leads
• Pitching the services of JLA to new potential clients both over the phone, and in person
• Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
• Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about liquidation of assets
• Meeting and exceeding personal sales targets
