Our South Wales site is celebrating its one year anniversary which has experienced record sales growth.

Our Port Talbot site has experienced rapid growth since it opened, selling over 115,415 items, holding over 30 vehicle auctions and hiring a workforce of 33.

The South Wales site most popular item over the last 12 months were TVs, closely followed by sofas, ovens, washing machines and fridges.

Managing director, Adam Pye, said: “It’s fantastic to be celebrating this milestone in South Wales and to be experiencing sales volume beyond our expectations, which is a credit to our team there.

“Since opening, John Pye Auctions has embedded itself in the local community by holding charity events and signing a sponsorship deal with Swansea City FC, and we’re very pleased with how the community has taken to the firm.

“South Wales is a fantastic region with great prospects and we look forward to expanding further in the area.”

Over the next 12 months, we expect the South Wales team to swell from 33 to over 60 to support the expansion of the site as it opens more indoor salerooms, larger vehicle auctions and a luxury assets division.

Associate director and South Wales site manager, Noel Mulready, said: “It’s been a very exciting year for us here at the biggest indoor auction hub in Europe, and I anticipate the next year will continue to be a success as we expand the site further. We have had great viewing and buyer numbers which is brilliant, and I’d like to thank the South Wales team and the head office in the East Midlands for its continued support.”
