JOHN PYE Auctions were announced as the proud shirt and main club sponsors of Championship club Nottingham Forest FC for the 2012/13 season, making them the first Auction House in the UK to sign a sponsorship deal with a professional football club.
The one-year-deal with the Championship club and twice former European Cup winners heralded a significant milestone in John Pye & Sons’ company development, halfway through its national roll out.
Following a year of substantial growth which has seen the opening of seven new UK wide auction facilities and two new saleroom openings at Pyes’ East Midlands Auction Hub in Nottingham, this significant sponsorship deal raised the profile of John Pye & Sons’ auction offerings to a new level.
As Forest’s shirt sponsors John Pye & Sons brand and auctions were exposed to a wide variety of platforms of mixed media, from the Forest website (288,500 average unique web visits a month) through to live televised games on Sky Sports and weekly highlights on BBC1, viewed by millions of football fans across the UK and overseas
The sponsorship deal has been officially announced with the launch of the new John Pye & Sons’ sponsored Nottingham Forest away kit at John Pye & Sons’ Head Office at the old Shipstone’s Brewery in Nottingham (ironically the old home of Forest’s former sponsors, Shipstones, from 1986 to 1994).
National and regional sports media attended the event where John Pye & Sons Directors were joined by Nottingham Forest Chief Executive Mark Arthur, Forest Manager Steve Cotterill, senior players Andy Reid and Chris Cohen and three time World Super Middleweight Nottingham Boxing Champion, Carl Froch, who is also an avid Forest fan and has just been crowned IBF World Champion.

Forest will launch their home kit in July and the Championship season kicks off in mid August, with the full fixture list for the 2012/13 season released on Monday June 18th.
