Money-can’t-buy cricket memorabilia auction - John Pye Auctions

Our charity auction with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has launched and offers bidders the chance to secure rare cricket memorabilia.

The auction, now live and open until 21 November, will raise funds for Trent Bridge Community Trust, the charitable arm of the Club that works to provide sporting opportunities for disadvantaged children in the county.

As proud official team sponsor of Nottinghamshire CCC, we will auction many unique lots through its online auction on behalf of the Club.

Among others, these include bats signed by the England and Nottinghamshire CCC teams, a framed 2017 Royal London One-Day Cup final programme signed by the winning Notts Outlaws team, signed Notts Outlaws shirts and a framed programme signed by Stuart Broad and Joe Root from the 2015 England v Australia Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.

Sheldon Miller, Business Development Director at John Pye Auctions, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, so to be working collaboratively to bring this unique auction to cricket fans is fantastic.

“Nottingham, and the county as a whole, has a rich cricket heritage and a large loyal fan base and I expect that there will be great interest in these money-can’t-buy lots, which will make unique Christmas gifts for fans of all ages.

“All funds raised from the auction will go to supporting the great work of the Trent Bridge Community Trust.”

The Trent Bridge Community Trust staff are directly employed by the Club, allowing commercial partners and grant-aiding bodies to have confidence that every penny they provide has an impact on frontline community initiatives.

Mark Worrall, Client Relationship Manager at Nottinghamshire CCC, said: “Trent Bridge Community Trust relies on grants and donations to sustain its programmes so it is essential that we work to raise the funds needed to help and support young people.

“This collection of cricket memorabilia will no doubt be popular with fans and we’d like to thank John Pye Auctions for running this auction for us. Without the support of businesses like them, we would not be able to offer our schemes to young people who need a sporting chance.

“We will be watching the auction with interest and hope bidders dig deep to secure such great one-off items.”
